MoveCorps: Physical Literacy for Traverse City Kids

MoveCorps is a physical literacy program for Traverse City kids.

What’s physical literacy?

“Physical literacy is the ability to move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of physical activities in multiple environments that benefit the healthy development of the whole person. It is the ability, confidence, and desire to be physically active for life.”

MoveCorps is about kids learning fundamental movements (throwing/catching, jumping, kicking, striking, dodging, balance), making new friends, and having fun outside.

MoveCorps is data-driven and uses state-of-the-art heart rate monitor technology and software to engage and motivate the kids and teach the power of moderate to vigorous physical activity.

All abilities and experience levels are welcome.
