Traverse City Walks: 2024 Challenges

Join us for fun, convenient, free walking challenges in Northern Michigan’s capital.

Accept a challenge. Get after it. Everyone is welcome.

2024 TRAVERSE CITY WALKS CHALLENGES TO DATE:

  • The January 100 – walk 100 miles outside during the month of January – this can be done solo or as a team of two
  • The Dragon 1200 – 2024 is the year of the dragon. Walk 1200 miles outside in 2024.
  • The Streak 100 – walk at least 1 mile daily outside for 100 straight days. Can be started anytime before September 22, 2024.
  • Winter Walk Wednesdays – walk at least 1 mile outside with a friend or family member (walking alone doesn’t count!) every Wednesday in January, February, and March.
  • February 100 – walk 100 miles outside during the month of February – this can be done solo or as a team of two
  • March 100 – walk 100 miles outside during the month of March – this can be done solo or as a team of two
  • Spring Fling Tuesdays – walk at least 1 mile (round trip) to a local business or organization every Tuesday in April and May.
  • April 100 – walk 100 miles outside during the month of April – this can be done solo or as a team of two
  • May 100 – walk 100 miles outside during the month of May – this can be done solo or as a team of two

JOIN A CHALLENGE (OR SEVERAL):

1. Commit: Complete this form.

2. Sign up: Join the Traverse City Walks Strava Club – strava.com/clubs/tc-walks – to track your progress (Strava is a free mobile fitness tracking app).

3. Walk: Get after it outside. We believe outside is best, so treadmill walking doesn’t count. Sorry, treadmills.

4. Celebrate: Have fun. Be social. Win prizes.

HELPFUL THINGS TO KNOW:

All Traverse City Walks Challenges are both free and awesome.

Complete a challenge and be entered into a drawing for prizes.

If you don’t have Strava on your phone, download the app, create an account, search for “Traverse City Walks” and join it. Whenever you head out for a walk, hit start in the app and then stop when you’re done. Super easy.
