Meet the Good Works Lab Team: Mediation and Mentorship, Kathy Grinsteiner

With a focus on leadership and employee development, Kathy uses the power of effective communication and healthy conflict resolution to maximize the potential of organizations and their greatest asset, their people.

She has over 25 years of leadership and employee/labor relations experience, and has created and delivered numerous training sessions for businesses and non-profit organizations. She is most passionate about delivering workshops centered around communication, healthy conflict, the multi-generational workforce, diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging (DEIB), and resilient and courageous leadership.

Participants say Kathy is an authentic, relatable, and engaging speaker and workshop facilitator. She also is a trained community mediator, with experience mediating disputes involving family, business, special education and consumer/merchant issues. She describes mediation as a bridge that connects people who are struggling to navigate their way through a conflict situation.

Kathy has developed and launched mentorship programs, a trainer development program and a speaker’s bureau. She has worked with organizations to assess their culture, as well as their work practices, to gain efficiencies and promote a positive, vibrant work environment. She recently created and co-facilitated an anti-racism series that was offered free to her community.

Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Kathy spent most of her adult life in Grand Rapids, Michigan before relocating to Traverse City, Michigan in 2017 — a move she describes as one of the best decisions of her life, and one that gave her the courage to launch her own business, EverGROWTH Consulting.

“The opportunity to work with Good Works Lab feels so right. I’ve worked hard to ensure that I stay focused on my core values, give back to my community, and help people to work through conflict in a healthy way. Good Works Lab is the perfect partner.”
