After two outstanding framing workshops with the FrameWorks Institute, we’re excited to have Jay Berger present on Reframing School Safety.
Jay is the co-chair of the new community task force, Safer Kids Safer Schools (SKSS).
“SKSS is a short-term, citizen-led, open dialogue dedicated to exploring perspectives and solutions to increase the safety and well-being of the youth in our schools and our community. Over 30 task force members commit to engaging in open-minded discussion and productive inquiry around well-being and physical safety. They have a shared understanding that they might not solve everything but collectively can move the needle forward in both areas.”
Jay will speak at Northwestern Michigan College’s Innovation Center on Thursday, December 8th 11a-12p in room #8.
This workshop is part of our Everyone A Changemaker Northern Michigan project.
All advocates, concerned citizens, and changemakers in northern Michigan are welcome.
Attendance is free, but registration is required.

What’s Framing?
In short, it’s the social science of communication choices made – what we say, how we say it, and what we leave unsaid. These choices have a significant effect on how our messages are received.
These strategic framing choices can boost public knowledge, shift attitudes, and build support for social change.
