Nancy is a Connecticut Community For Addiction Recovery (CCAR) trained Family Support Coordinator/Family Recovery Coach with Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) in Traverse City.
Having lived experience with being affected by family members with Substance Use Disorder and tragically losing her daughter, Dana, in 2017 to an opioid overdose, is why Nancy is very passionate about doing this work.
Having a Family Support Program at ATS is very important because we know that addiction is a “Family Disease.”
Supporting and educating families through the Family Road To Recovery Program is one of Nancy’s best ways to honor her daughter’s life; each day, trying to live by Dana’s favorite quote – “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Elevate Northern Michigan is a quarterly summit series focused on boosting knowledge, shifting attitudes, decreasing stigma, and building support for youth mental health by learning about:
- evidence-based behavioral health science
- practical well-being tools
- leadership skills
Reservation for this mental health summit is free but required as space is limited.
