Good Works Lab’s Citizens for a Neighbor-First Traverse City invited all eleven candidates who applied for Ashlea’s City Commission seat to complete a similar survey that 152 residents took this summer.
Three candidates accepted the invitation:
- Linda Koebert
- Kenneth Funk
- Gretchen Carr
Eight candidates declined/did not respond to the invitation:
- Gary Howe
- Brian McGillivary
- Amy Kolden
- Vicki Armour
- Barb Willing
- Caroline Kennedy
- Jason Lawrence
- Merek Roman

UPDATE: According to this memo from the City Clerk emailed at 5:23pm on December 8th, Vicki Armour and Amy Kloden have withdrawn their application.
About the Survey:
Citizens for a Neighbor-First Traverse City administered the same survey to 152 committed community members this summer to evaluate community priorities and perspectives on how our city works and where we’re going. We asked questions about the following topics:
- Sustainability
- Equity
- Who Traverse City is designed for
- Walking, biking, transportation, and health in our city
- The role of elected officials
